Christmas Scavenger Hunt

Grab your family, or a team of friends and hop in the car for a holiday Road Rally/Scavenger Hunt! Together you will race to find Christmas sights and sounds in the Sterling area and meet back at St. Matt’s at 5 PM for holiday treats and awards like Best Time, Best Team Name & Best Team Costumes!​

RULES

1. Holiday Race - Road Rally Basics 

  • Holiday Road Rally, aka Scavenger Hunt using cars, is Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023. Registration begins at 2:45 pm. The competition is from 3 pm – 5 pm, and return to St. Matthew's by 5 for awards and holiday treats!

  • Teams will drive around the Sterling area in cars following clues, completing tasks and challenges, and try to be the first team to the finish line!

  • This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids!

  • You will need ONE MOBILE DEVICE, equipped with GPS and a camera. Other devices are welcome to be used for mapping, etc. but please only log into the system on one designated device for the team. You will NOT need to download an app.

  • Time will be a factor in the hunt, but please be safe and use good judgment!

  • Participants will receive a QR code to scan at check-in which will lead you to the race website to get started!

2. The Rules 

  • All team members MUST wear seat belts when the car is in motion. If any team member is caught not wearing a seat belt while the car is in motion, your team will lose 5 points.

  • All team members need to stay with their team at all times. You may not split up to “divide” tasks or pay or bribe additional individuals to join your team and complete your tasks.

  • Teams must be courteous and respectful to not only citizens but also their teammates and others involved in the Holiday Race.
