Being a teenager is tough, but it's also fantastic! You'll encounter struggles and sorrows along with joy and celebration, and St. Matthew's wants to be there to walk through it too.
We want teens to know they are welcome, no matter who they are, and whether experiencing good times or hard ones. Youth Group is a time where we can come together to wrestle with tough questions, a time to offer each other fellowship, a time to learn about how God intersects with our daily lives, and how to follow the example set by Jesus.
Sunday (NOT) School
10:15ish-11 AM (between the 9:30 and 11 services) Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to Sunday not-school where we will explore our lives in the context of faith. Tackling big questions like the climate crisis and healthy relationships, youth will be encouraged to decide for themselves based on their faith, experiences, and relationships (with God, family, and each other). Classes will be taught by longtime youth leaders.

Youth Mission Trips
Mission Trips are an amazing way to put our Faith into practice, which we do over the summer with our Youth Mission Trips. Our Middle Schoolers serve their local community during Mission Possible, while our High Schoolers get out and experience the need of the human family as a whole. In previous years we have traveled to Chicago, Philadelphia, and Nashville, and have even spent time helping victims of Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey rebuilding their homes and lives. LEARN MORE
