Worship at St. Matthew’s
Gather in Prayer, Celebration, and the Sacred Moments of Life

At St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Sterling, VA, worship is at the heart of who we are.
Every Sunday, and in every season of life, we come together to pray, celebrate, grieve, give thanks, and grow in faith.
Whether you are joining us for Sunday worship, planning a baptism or wedding, remembering a loved one, or exploring the Episcopal Church for the first time, there is a place for you here.
A Church Community for Every Season of Life
Life is full of meaningful moments. Some joyful. Some difficult. Some deeply holy.
At St. Matthew’s, we believe the church should be present for all of them.
From baptisms and weddings to funerals, memorial services, and prayer, we walk alongside individuals and families across Sterling, Ashburn, Herndon, Reston, and Loudoun County with worship rooted in hope, compassion, and community.

Confirmation & Reception
Confirmation and Reception are opportunities to make a deeper commitment to your faith and your place within the Episcopal Church.
We offer classes and conversations for youth and adults interested in exploring faith, Episcopal traditions, and what it means to grow spiritually in community.

Columbarium
The St. Matthew’s Columbarium offers a peaceful and consecrated resting place for cremated remains on our church grounds in Sterling, Virginia.
Many families choose a church columbarium as a lasting place of remembrance connected to the worshiping community that shaped their lives.

Baptism
Baptism is a joyful celebration of new life and belonging in the family of God.
At St. Matthew’s, we baptize children, youth, and adults throughout the year.
Whether you are exploring baptism for yourself or your child, our clergy are happy to walk you through the process and answer your questions.
