FAQ About Easter Services
Our Easter Sunday services are a joyful celebration resurrection of Jesus Christ with great music, family-friendly activities, and a relevant, practical message. Our services are for everyone. Whether you have a more traditional church background or none at all, you'll feel right at home at St. Matthew's for Easter.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our wonderful ushers at the front doors of the church. They will welcome you, answer any questions you may have, help you find a seat, and get your family settled.
You will hear a joyful and thought-provoking message, uplifting music, and feel the joy of Easter as together we celebrate that Jesus is Risen!.
What should I wear?
You won't be out of place whether you're in your fancy Easter dress and suit or wearing jeans. You'll see a little bit of everything at St. Matthew's, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!
Where should I park?
Free parking is available to the back and side of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church at 201 E. Frederick Drive in Sterling, VA. Additional overflow parking is available, if needed, at the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, along Argonne Avenue, and across the street at Briar Patch Park. Clear signage and our welcome team will help direct you when you arrive.
How long are the services?
All of our Easter Sunday services include uplifting music, joyful worship, and a message of hope from Rev. Rob Merola. Each service lasts about one hour.
Is there anything for children?
Yes! We have a lot in store for children at St. Matthew's this Easter!
Our 9:30 AM Service includes a special Children's Interactive Easter Program where they will experience the resurrection of Jesus through hands-on activities like games, experiments, and music.
Between our 9:30 and 11:15 AM services, all are welcome to join our outdoor Easter egg hunt and meet & greet with the Easter Bunny!
At all services, children receive a special Easter activity booklet.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before service start time for our Easter services to allow time for parking and our welcome team to assist you in finding a seat.
