Christmas Eve Services at St. Matthew’s

3:00 PM – Children’s Nativity Musical and Holy Communion
This service is especially good for families. Our children and youth tell the story of Jesus’ birth through music and narration, creating a lively and heartfelt celebration.

5:00 PM – Christmas Eve Eucharist with Strings
The 5 PM service offers beautiful music with a soloist and strings. It is a warm and peaceful service that still works well for families who prefer an earlier hour.

8:00 PM – Candlelight Eucharist with Band

11:00 PM – Choir-led Candlelight Eucharist (Midnight Mass)

We do not offer nursery care on Christmas Eve, but the nursery room is open if you or your child need a quiet moment.

What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. You will see everything from holiday sweaters to jeans to dress clothes. You are welcome as you are.
How long are the services?
Most services last about an hour. Midnight Mass finishes a little after midnight because of the closing carols.
Do I need to reserve a seat?
No. All seating is open, and you may sit wherever you feel most comfortable.
Are visitors welcome?
Yes. Many people visit St. Matthew’s for the first time on Christmas Eve.
Is there a cost to attend?
No. All services are free and open to the community.
